Isle Himaryn accepts the creation of all real world, extinct, or commonly known fantasy animal or creature. The EXCEPTIONS are: all non-vertebrates, humans (or anything resembling a human, in part or in whole, including shifters and anthros), and aquatic or marine animals.
Isle Himaryn accepts hybrid creatures, though any hybrid that does not occur naturally in the wild must be purchased in the Shop, and we request that members do not go overboard with ridiculous crossbreeds. Mutations and other strange physical features can be purchased in the Shop.
Members are always welcome to scale the size of their creatures accordingly so they are more convenient sizes to roleplay with.
The following list of animals and creatures are acceptable on Isle Himaryn:
Isle Himaryn also accepts the following fantastic creatures and OC species, provided they are purchased from the Shop with Talcs.:
As always, if there is something not listed that you would like to create, feel free to contact staff. We're always open to suggestions and comments.

Do our characters eat each other?
No. We'd prefer to avoid the Twilight eat-each-other business.
One should be familiar with the fact that ALL sentient and talking animals on Himaryn are descended from the original demi-god, Icarus (see the creation myth). As a result, all playable characters are inherently magical, intelligent, and are capable of complex patterns of action and thought.
These descendents of Icarus consider themselves as part of the magna-species known as the "Seir," or "one of the living," and view each other in ways members of the same species do. As a result, carnivorous Seir do not desire to eat herbivorous Seir (it's cannibalism)!
Non-sentient prey animals are known "Haerla." They are different from the Seir in that they are dumb beasts, unable to talk or communicate. Haerla act exclusively on instinct, are beast-like and non-intelligent. As a result, Seir view themselves as a superior species to the haerla. Carnivores hunt haerla for food. Seir is not food (unless you're a cannibal). Very simple.
Do our characters walk on two feet, carry weapons, and wear clothes?
Generally, no. We say generally, because if your character has no opposable thumbs/claws (or some other similar tactile structure) they cannot physically hold or carry weapons with their paws, or perform human-like tasks.
Unless, of course, you're intelligent about it (like all Seir are), and figure out a better way to do things with an animal body.
You have help too. Magic exists on Isle Himaryn. Many artisans, merchants, carpenters, and skilled inventors figure out ways to incorporate their magic to perform what they need to do (see the economics thread for ideas).
Do humans exist?
No. Humans do not exist in the world of Himaryn and never did. Thus, your characters should not ever make references to humans at all, lest you intend to have your characters sound like they're madly rambling about Trafalmadorians.
