	The Mastif Precipices The entire region of the Steppes is geographically elevated compared to the rest of the Sehali, so reaching the Steppes first entails climbing a series of dry slopes known as the Mastif Precipices. The Mastifs are generally relatively rocky, but they are composed more of clay and large boulders. Large bounds are required to scramble up the massive rock shelves, and it helps to be long-limbed.	0	0	No posts have been made on this board.
	The Rally Grounds (Main Camp) All individuals recruited in the imperial army are required to report to the Rally Grounds and the headquarters of the Himaryn military to receive essential training and their first assignments. There are mock target ranges and fighting pits to hone the skills of warriors located on the grounds. The fighting pits are of course, notorious for their ruthlessness, especially in the hands of merciless combat trainers, as the combatants are not allowed to stop fighting until the order to stop is given.	0	0	No posts have been made on this board.
	The Pike Lines On the Himaryn side of the border, the pike lines form the last barrier of defense against barbarian attack on the home front. Trenches are dug here, with large arrays of spikes prepared to break an enemy charge. Of recent years, however, the currently successful Imperial Army has driven the barbarians so far into enemy territory that attacks on the home front have become rare. The Pike Lines still experience the occasional enemy scouting parties, nonetheless, but a large battle hasn't taken place in seasons.	0	0	No posts have been made on this board.

The Northern Steppes

At the northern frontier of the Himaryn Empire, the steppes form a simultaneous barrier and battleground against the relentless barbarians from the outlands. Himaryn has been at war with these nomadic tribesmen for centuries, since the haerla herds migrate across the national borders seasonally. This leaves either the Sehali or the barbarians deprived of prey, which is plenty cause to justify war.
