The Pike Lines

On the Himaryn side of the border, the pike lines form the last barrier of defense against barbarian attack on the home front. Trenches are dug here, with large arrays of spikes prepared to break an enemy charge. Of recent years, however, the currently successful Imperial Army has driven the barbarians so far into enemy territory that attacks on the home front have become rare. The Pike Lines still experience the occasional enemy scouting parties, nonetheless, but a large battle hasn't taken place in seasons.
