The Sinkhole Locally, the draining grounds of the rivers from Malenhal Savannah are known as the Sinkhole. Much of it is sticky fly-ridden marshland with the occasional acidic bog, but the Sinkhole is most famous for the prevalence of tar pits in the area. Since the pits are concealed by tall marsh grasses, it has unfortunately always been too easy for individuals to find themselves ensnared and trapped in tar. As one knows, those trapped in tar pits find it extremely difficult to extricate themselves from the often lethal "sinkhole." |

The Elephant Graveyard The Elephant Graveyard is a misnomer, because although it is essentially a field covered in mounds of giant skeletal bones, no one actually sure whether they are elephant bones or some other ancient organism. In either case, regardless of how the bones got there and who the belong to, it is a very eerie location. There is a local legend that there is a hidden tomb under the mountain of bones, but few have had the audacity to confirm or dispute the details of this myth. |

The Abandoned Quarry At the southwestern corner of the Quatash Range, the abandoned quarry was used by miners from Ancient Nairsov. The high grade white granite stone here was used to construct the Old Capital, and some of it was likely incorporated into City Kosov as well. Centuries ago, however, the quarry has filled with water, and only an exposed pit remains. Be careful around the grounds—quicksand is a common geological feature here. |
