No New Posts The Hanging Road

As the Great East-West Road enters the canyon region of Ptoketa's Cleft, it becomes a narrow precarious path running along the inside of the canyon wall. No more than three average-sized jungle felines would fit comfortably side-to-side on the path, and there is no railing. Some parts of the Hanging Road are crumbling, with its edges lost to the several hundred foot fall down to the canyon floor.

No New Posts The Bridge of Wills

Approximately two thirds of the way through Ptoketa's Cleft, the Hanging Road changes sides to the far wall of canyon. Connecting the two portions is the Bridge of Wills, which is a stone bridge that spans the width of the canyon. Historically, it is a legendary site where the great general Kariden stopped an entire barbarian army by unleashing a terrifying roar, daring them all to approach the bridge where a small Himarynian force waited.

No New Posts Kariden's Floor

The valley floor of the canyon bears the name of the great general Kariden, as does the small meandering river that runs through the floor. It is very desolate place with little vegetation and decorated with the occasional skeleton—those who fall from the Hanging Road or the Bridge will find themselves here either severely injured or dead. The canyon floor is prone to abrupt and sudden flash floods, so it is recommended that those who find themselves here get out as soon as possible.
