The North Spire is a majestic place. Occupying both the western and northern edifices of the 5th level of Kosov's Tower Wards, the structure is marbled and free-standing. The numerous spires and minarets of the tower are fused into the 6th, 7th, and 8th levels of the city, and it is so massive that it could be considered a city within the city itself. Gated tunnels burrow under the stone edifice allowing pedestrians to travel the Stairwell of Eleven Gates under the Spire, and the building is reputed to have an additional seven underground levels connected by winding passageways and caverns.
Constructed early in the Fourth Age by the architect Xanarth, the North Spire was intended to be the new home of the common Himarynian, independent of the tyranny of the ancient Nairsovian kings. However, Kosov expanded faster than the architects had expected, and soon the population spilled out of the Tower Wards and spread onto the plains of Lower Kosov. Now, the labyrinth caverns of the North Spire are occupied by libraries of ancient records, relics, and transaction receipts. Offices too, but the those usually only occupied the higher levels of the Spire.
Dejiah Ariens Red, in our case, was not interested the offices of The Lord Premier or the Council Chambers. The General, so to speak, was on personal mission of his own to... uncover some secrets from the boxes upon boxes of records in the depths of the Spire. The great wolf had told no one, and evidently had his own agenda slinking swiftly in the dark dimly-lit passageways of the winding underground.
Sure, he was an official of Imperial Himaryn, but it just so happened to perfectly serve his purposes. As the General "Penitus" of th Himaryn Army, who would dare deny him right to be wandering the records of kingdom?
Dejiah stepped into the cavern he was seeking, and his eyes glinted with recognition. His actions filled with purpose, the giant wolf turned to the wall-bound magical fire that illuminated the room. With a snuff, he smothered it with a gestured flare of his own elemental power, turning the cavern to darkness.
Now, his work could begin.
