Name;; Dejiah “Silve” Ariens Red
House;; House of Red
Gender;; Male
Age;; 270 Chantings
Species;; Giant Eurasian Wolf
Affinity;; Fire - Sage
Tomes;; Burst, Deflect, Annul, Script, Barrier
Occupation/Rank;; General “Penitus” of the Himaryn Army
Appearance;; Like others of the infamous House of Red, Dejiah is massive in size. Nearly fifteen times greater in weight than a typical wolf and approaching the size of a bear, Dejiah is impressive in stature and power. He is, however, no different than any other member of his family. All members of the House of Red have the trademark characteristic of producing oversized children. This has made their family very reputable among Himaryn. It is, after all, very difficult to miss the lethality of a wolf on a bear-sized scale in the midst of the front lines.
In either case, we can settle with the comment that Dejiah of the House of Red is very physically intimidating.
His light grey fur, almost silvery in quality, is typical among wolves. Dejiah's otherwise most defining feature is that he has a large scar streaking diagonally across the length of his back—the result of a quarrel with a dragon (as he'll claim). As a frequent participant in battle, he also often comes back from the warfront with multiple bandages and scars, though these vary with the season and most eventually heal.
Dejiah's eyes are pupil-less—merely a shining silvery white. His codename in battle is, General 'Silve, after all.
Personality/History;; Born to a secondary branch of the House of Red, Dejiah did not have the expectations and pressures that many of his cousins in the Main House experienced in their childhood. Simply said, Dejiah was a playmate and training mate for many of his cousins, silently aware through most of his childhood that most of the best cuts of meat and rewards were reserved for his “higher ranked” cousins, individuals whom he honestly saw nothing special about. It was outside of his personality to complain or whine, but these formative years naturally instilled the realization that there really was no degree of fairness of their empire's culture.
Ideally, ranks were a subject of merit, but the best positions were reserved for the most noble-blooded of Vikare and their children. It was immensely difficult for Dejiah to rise in the ranks, as he was required to endure ordeal after ordeal of grueling experiences, while comparatively his cousins did not need to make any effort but wait for promotions to come to them. Dejiah grew to resent the privileged nature of Himaryn's most noble-blooded.
In either case, Dejiah entered Himaryn's military as a low-ranked officer, and gradually proved his worth and honed his skills until he became the General “Penitus” of the Himaryn Army—responsible for representing the interests of the military back in Capital Kosov. A studious individual, he learned his way to sage-hood in his natural affinity of fire after long nights of training and study. His general expertise in magic elemental military strategy has made him one of the foremost grand strategists remembered for revolutionizing the way magical battle theory was integrated with physical combat, and he is arguably the most prominent high-ranked active-duty military general regularly on staff in the Tower Wards of Kosov (the rest are on the Barbarian Front).
In a political fashion, Dejiah is known to be a 'lone rogue'. Although he is affiliated with the appraised and famous House of Red, he is known to refuse to attend family councils and reunions. His political stances do not always match that of the House of Red, and there has been multiple incidences when Dejiah refused to cooperate with house-wide plans of political action and policy. This actions have alienated Dejiah from his family, and he does not even visit the family mansion when he is around.
Politically, Dejiah his a severe mistrust of of many high-ranked Vikare and politicians. A proactive individual, he is known to have used his resources to single-handedly challenge many high-ranked noble families. It is a mistake, however, to consider him an ally of either Salom or Cruori. In truth, Dejiah believes the root of all Himaryn's corruption, stagnancy, inaction, and trouble is democracy (how Lord Premiers are elected every Chanting). He believes that the ideal government has one enlightened ruler with a firm control over all classes of society, that is... effectively an enlightened military dictatorship.
And, he's actively working to make it possible. C:
