~ Winterheld Stockpile Shops

In the fort of Winterheld, forest and ice traders set up shops full of useful wares a traveler might need heading into the wilderness. Anything from mountain furs, equipment, weapons, and utilities can be found here. An ancient badger named Groriar runs the most famous forge in Himaryn, and he is reputed to weld any kind of metal into any device or shape imaginable. However, he’s usually quite busy with regular orders so custom forging is not open to regular customers unless they find him (or one of his apprentices) in person.

∗ Wound from hemp, this multipurpose rope is mildly-durable, flexible, and can be easily handled.
MANILA ROPE - 800 Talcs
∗ Heavy-duty rope that is best used for heavy lifting and various outdoor applications.
BEAR PELT – 5,000 Talcs
∗ A warm, waterproofed pelt that is best for snow and ice wear. It is thick and heavy.
FUR HOOD – 1,500 Talcs
∗ An animal fur hood that specifically covers the ears and head. Altarspire becomes bitter cold especially in the night, so it is important to protect loose articles of flesh such as the ears.
FIRESTARTER – 2,000 Talcs, EACH
∗ A small magical stone that creates sparks.
FIREWOOD - 200 Talcs, EACH (1 bundle)
∗ Dry wood for starting and maintaining fires.
WAX CANDLE – 400 Talcs, EACH
∗ A simple wax candle that can burn for 4 to 5 hours. It does not produce very much smoke.
FIRE TORCH – 500 Talcs, EACH
∗ A wooden staff with an oil-soaked rag at the end. When ignited, it produces quite a lot of light for several hours. It can be mounted as a post or on walls.
LANTERN & OIL – 2,000 Talcs, EACH
∗ A sturdy lantern that is windproof. The surrounding metal mesh is warded to prevent fierce winds from blowing out the flame.
MAGNETIC COMPASS – 10,000 Talcs, EACH
∗ A luxury good that always points north. It can get defective and faulty in mysterious places such as Vestige’s Crest.
MAP OF HIMARYN – 1,000 Talcs, EACH
∗ Also a luxury good that is hand-copied by cartographers. It is sometimes not-to-scale and misleading (depicting mythical legendary places such as the Fountain of Youth), but it is accurate enough to get around. Comes also with a star chart.

∗ A simple metal bucket that can be used for various purposes
BARREL – 800 Talcs, EACH
∗ A leg wooden keg made by a cooper and plugged to prevent leaking.
WOODEN RAFT – 5,000 Talcs
∗ A simple wooden raft that will hold two or three medium-sized individual. It has no propulsion device and hence must drift down rivers or lakes.
WOODEN PULL-SLED – 7,000 Talcs
∗ A simple sled that is meant for pulling in the snow (or other fairly smooth surfaces). It comes with a simple rope harness that can be easily slipped on and off most individuals for pulling.
WOODEN CART – 13,000 Talcs
∗ A two-wheeled wooden cart that is meant to be pulled by one individual. Comes with a simple rope harness that can be easily slipped on and off most individuals for pulling.
WOODEN CARRIAGE – 20,000 Talcs
∗ A four-wheeled wooden carriage that sits one passenger. It is meant to be pulled by two individuals, and comes with an optional cloth roof frame to shield the passenger from the wind and weather.

∗ Simple steel knives for everyday use.
SIMPLE AXE – 5,000 Talcs
∗ A simple axe for woodcutting. It is unfortunately not easy to use, and is best handled by individuals with the FLOAT Tome.
SIMPLE HAMMER – 5,000 Talcs
∗ A simple hammer for hammer-bashing. It is unfortunately not easy to use, and is best handled by individuals with the FLOAT Tome.
SHOVEL – 4,000 Talcs
∗ A metal shovel that can be used for digging or mining. It is unfortunately not easy to use, and is best handled by individuals with the FLOAT Tome.
TOOTHED CLAWS – 12,000 Talcs
∗ Attachable metal claws that can be custom fitted to most individual’s claws. They are meant for increased traction on ice and other hard-to-travel surfaces, but they could probably be used as weapons too.
BLADED CLAWS – 15,000 Talcs
∗ Attachable metal claws that can be custom fitted to most individual’s claws. They are bladed and sharp, capable of cutting and slashing.
ARMOR PLATE – 5,000 Talcs, EACH
∗ A sheet of metal armor that can cover a portion of an individual’s body. For example, one armor plate could cover a shoulder, while another could cover the belly.
METAL BAR – 800 Talcs, EACH
∗ Metal bars for construction purposes. Use these to build framework for makeshift buildings, cages, platforms, etc.
CHAINS – 1,000 Talcs, EACH (1 coil)
∗ A coil of heavy chains for whatever one might use chains for.

∗ Shackles and collars for prisoners, who else?
