No New Posts The High Acropolis

The Old Capital of Nairsov was built on a jutting outcrop next to the Great Hole, and the most majestic of the city's ancient buildings were located on the High Acropolis. Visitors from Kosov will quickly notice that the ruined cathedrals and spires are taller and grander than those in Kosov, as the ancient Nairsovi were engineering geniuses at an art that is largely lost today. The golden pinnacles and grand statues have long ago been removed by treasure-hunters, but the glory of the High Acropolis can be felt despite the crumbling nature of the white walls.

No New Posts Gate of All-Denizens

According to ancient Himaryn legends, after Icarus fell to the earth, he mated with the demons of the mortal world and begot many children of different shapes and forms—the forefathers of the sentient race. Nairsov, according to legend, became overcrowded, and many of Icarus's sons and daughters wished to leave and populate the world. Icarus allowed this, but he first erected the Gate of All-Denizens and directed each of his sons and daughters leave a pawprint on the walls of the gate before departing. As it is, the Gate of All-Denizens today has a collection of over a thousand engraved footprints of different species on the wall.

No New Posts The Pillar and the Hole

The City of Nairsov was built on the edge of the lake-sized giant hole that was in fact, the crater formed when the indestructible Pillar of Himaryn fell from the sky. The enormous Pillar seared a deep hole into melted bedrock upon crashing, and the resultant crater was deeper than it was wide. In fact the hole is so steep, the ridged edge is more like an abrupt drop than a graded crater slope. For the Great East-West Road, this is where the sidewalk ends. The Pillar still stands vertically at the center of the Hole, towering several thousand feet into the sky, like a physical testament to the gods' faith.

Board Description
The Ruins of Nairsov
The ruins of the Old Capital Nairsov speak little of its yesteryear majesty, but they are still an awesome sight to see. In an otherwise featureless landscape, it dominates the horizon with its broken spires, crumbling walls, and weathered cathedrals. What remains of the city clings to the edge of a massive crater, and some rubble piles may suggest the city is slowly slipping down its sides.
